The Regional Park Partners program provides a way for park volunteers and parks staff to work together for the benefit of Metro Vancouver regional parks.

Burnaby Lake Regional Park


Take a refreshing wander to explore the plants of Burnaby Lake as they burst into bud and blossom. While leaves are still a ways away, there are early bloomers such as Indian plum, salmonberry and more that show the promise of spring. Learn some plant identification skills and more about how some plants are used as tonics or as tasty teas. For ages 13+.

Birds in Focus: A Visual Presentation

Camosun Bog work party

On Friday, Mar. 5, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. join photographers Virginia Hayes, Roy Hamaguchi and John Lowman for a presentation of images of birds of the Lower Mainland and beyond. Held at Cammidge House in Boundary Bay Regional Park. Open to everyone 8+. Admission: $5 per person (cash only). Registration is required; call (604) 432-6359. On Saturdays throughout the year, from 9 a.m. to noon, get dirty and sweaty by helping to restore the bog, all the while having fun. First-time volunteers please arrive at 10 am. Meet at the platform in the centre of the bog and wear old clothes and work gloves. Ages 14+ Free, registration not required. For more info, click here.
